Lifelong Friends and Colleagues from Ronald Levine, MD

As the oldest living past president of AAGL and a 46-year member, I have many memories of important events in our glorious 50-year history. Among the many events significant to our past history, certainly Jordan Phillips “family dinners” for the board were truly that, a time that was spent making lifelong friends and colleagues. Unfortunately, the lack of space and time restricts me to perhaps describing one event that symbolizes how we have, as an organization, gone to all lengths and distances to spread the word of AAGL. I’ve chosen a group trip to Zimbabwe, Africa to lecture and operate in 1997 – by Brian Cohen, Barbara Levy, Frank Loffer and myself to somewhat symbolize the effort, skill and bravery of our organization. The accompanying photo of two of us demonstrates the above attributes.  Cheers and all the best from Dr. Ronald Levine, University of Louisville
