Getting to and from the airport – and all around town – is easy. Most major rental car companies are available at ABIA, and other standard transportation options include the Capital Metro Bus Line, Uber, and Lyft. SuperShuttle is also available to transport passengers from the airport to locations around the city. Frequent shuttle service to downtown is available for those that want to explore Austin’s many diverse entertainment districts. Everything is within a short drive from the ABIA.

International Attendees

Most citizens of foreign countries will need a visa to enter the United States. Please note that it may take up to several months to obtain a visa. For more information about obtaining a visa, please visit the U.S. State Department website. To request a letter of invitation, you must be registered for #AAGL21 (opens July 2021).  Email your request to Gerardo Galindo at for more info. If you are unable to obtain your Visa to travel to the meeting, you will be issued a full refund.

We encourage non-U.S. travelers who need a visa to enter the United States to begin the visa application process as soon as you register. The application and interview process varies from country to country, so please double check your requirements.
