“Quid Hoc ad Aeternitatem” from Anthony A. Luciano, MD

The theme of my presidential address at the 1995 annual meeting in Chicago was “Quid Hoc ad Aeternitatem”, which translates into “What we teach here (at AAGL) will have a major impact throughout eternity!” Since my presidential address 26 years ago, AAGL has become the most important minimally invasive gynecologic surgical society with thousands of international members whose knowledge shared at our meetings and in our journal continues to have a major impact on the surgical and medical care of women throughout the world now and likely to continue throughout eternity. It is with great pride and affection that I share these thoughts with the AAGL family during this 50th Anniversary Year. – Dr. Anthony A. Luciano
